Think of your session as time carved out to simply be together. There is no pressure to perform or smile at the camera. There is just space to cuddle, play, explore, laugh and enjoy one another's company. I'll gently guide when needed, but I'll mostly be looking for the moments that unfold naturally, preserving this chapter of your family's story in a way that feels honest, meaningful and timeless.

A session fee secures your booking. This fee covers my time for the shoot itself, travel costs to and from location and my time editing your gallery of images. This fee is separate from the image packages which are detailed within the image packages section.

One of the things that I love most about what I do is getting to follow your families journey over time. To celebrate those ongoing connections, if you book a further session within 12 months of your last, you'll receive 15% off your session fee. It's my way of saying thank you - and letting you know I'd be honoured to capture the next chapter too.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch!

Frequently Asked Questions

1. what area do you cover?

I'm based in Lincoln, but I travel for up to an hour away for photoshoots within the price of my session fee. If you're located further afield, no problem! I'm happy to travel for an additional fuel cost. Just let me know your location and we can discuss the best options for your session!

2. What should we wear for the session?

When choosing what to wear, my biggest advice is to wear clothing that feel like you. Choose outfits that you're comfortable & confident in, that reflect your personalities & that you love wearing. These details become part of your family's story & can bring a lovely sense of nostalgia in years to come. For outdoor sessions, I recommend dressing for the weather, as we will often embrace a little wind or light rain & continue exploring. Warm, practical clothing helps everyone stay comfortable in the colder, wetter months. Clothing choices will influence the overall feel of your images, so if you'd like a more cohesive look, consider complementary colours & avoid busy patterns or logos. However, if your priority is to document your family exactly as you are day to day, the most important thing is simply that you feel relaxed and like yourselves.

3. how long will it take to recieve our photos?

You can expect to receive your edited digital images within 3 weeks from the date of your session. For framed prints and albums, these will take 6-8 weeks to be carefully created and delivered after you have received your digital files and have confirmed your order.

4. what happens if the weather is bad on the day of our outdoor session?

If the weather is severe, we can reschedule for another suitable date at no extra cost. I'll keep an eye on the forecast and be in touch ahead of time if a change is needed. Alternatively you could opt for an at home session instead, capturing beautiful, natural moments in the comfort of your own space.

Light rain or wind can often create the most beautiful, atmospheric images, so we'll usually embrace the elements & continue to enjoy the session together if safe to do so.  Sometimes it's the unexpected moments like splashing in puddles, wrapping up in cosy layers, windswept hair & rosy cheeks, that add the most character & help to tell the story of your family.

Frequently Asked Questions

5. How do I book a session?

Booking a session is easy! Simply get in touch via the contact form or email and we'll discuss your session details, location and preferred date. The session fee is required to secure your booking. The session fee is non-refundable and covers the cost of the photoshoot itself. This includes the time I spend with you during the shoot, the preparation and planning before and the post-processing of your images such as editing and retouching. The session fee does not include any prints, digital files or albums which are available for purchase separately.

6. what happens if we need to reschedule?

If you need to reschedule, just let me know as soon as possible. I'm happy to work with you to find a new date that fits your schedule. Please note, a rescheduling fee may apply if it's within 48 hours of your session.

7. Can we Chat before the session?

Absolutely! I'm always happy to chat & answer any questions before your session. Prior to our shoot, I'll ask a few questions to get to know your family a little better, such as the ages of your children & any ideas you have for locations that feel meaningful to you. Whether you'd prefer to chat by email, phone, video call or even meet in person, I'm happy to communicate in whatever way feels the most comfortable for you. Just let me know what works best!

8. What if my children don't cooperate?

Honestly, they don't need to! Children are naturally curious, energetic and full of big emotions. I don't expect children to sit still, smile on cue or perform for the camera. My sessions are relaxed & child-led, allowing plenty of space for play, exploration, cuddles, snacks, breaks & to simply be themselves. It's often the imperfect moments that result in the most meaningful images.
